This buck adds width to every doe he is bred to! His own rump width score is 47! His kids are fast growers too and I've had no trouble getting his daughters ready to breed to kid at 12 months old.
This boy brings the milk! His first daughter on test milked over 1,000 lbs and his current yearling in my herd, CC, is on track to do the same! He has 4 daughters on milk test so far, so he just needs one more to get his production evaluation. Both of his parents have been on the ELITE list for many years and his daughters have all outranked their mothers on their evaluations, so I'm excited to see what his ranking will be!
His dam was ranked Top Ten on the '23 Butterfat list. She also scored VEEV 89 for her permanent score at 9 years old!
Caution would be recommended if breeding him to does with a family history of double teats. He is OH as well, but I have his daughters Daisy and CC who are both within the height limit.
This buck has so much potential to bring to the table for the right herd! I am not desperate to let him go, but if the right person wants him, I am willing to sell or lease him. I just don't have enough unrelated does to utilize him to his full potential. I will continue to use him as much as I can until he finds a new herd. I would prefer to lease him out if possible so that I could bring him back once I have a larger herd with more unrelated does.
For Sale: $1,200
For Lease to disease tested performance herd: $300 for a full season. +/- for more or less time.
